Doc Appointment

Everything went well today, blood pressure was normal. So no bed rest, yet. I turned in my 24 hour urine, so glad to be done with that.. she said she would get the results in about a week. The only thing she mentioned was that I am anemic, but I'm already taking a prescription iron supplement.. so nothing can really be done about that. If it comes down to it, I may have to have a transfusion if I lose too much blood.. ick. Really hoping that doesn't happen. She assured me that they test the blood really well these days. She told me today that I am negative for HIV, and I'm hoping to keep it that way!

I go back in two weeks and get the last look at my little man before he is here in person!!

Week 32

I caught my work slipping today! Nothing is blocked yay!

So, I have 53 days until my due date rolls around, I really hope I make it at least half that. Today, I have an appointment with the doctor.. and I hope it goes well. I'll let you guys know how that goes later on tonight. I'm in the middle of a 24 hour urine screening and that is just not fun. Especially, when I wake up at 1 am and have to fiddle with peeing in a jug when my eyes barely open!

Yesterday, while I was rubbing my belly down with cocoa butter.. I found some stretch marks! Whaaaa! They are small, very light, but kinda reddish right now.. major bummer.

Week 31

Not much going on around here this week, just the news from the doctor. Kinda has me in a what am I going to do panic. I haven't accrued all my maternity leave yet, and if I have to go on bed rest.. I will use it all up before he even gets here. I am trying to work something out to where I can work from home. Hopefully, my work will work with me.. but who knows. Other than that, I'm just taking it easy.. I'm about to go get my prenatal massage here in a bit. I'm really excited about this!

Doc Appointment

I went to see Dr. Grimes again today. The news wasn't that good. My blood pressure is up again. It had been staying steady around 115 or 120/40ish. Today it was 140/80. I didn't have any protein in my urine, which is good. She wants me to do a 24 hour urine and see her again next week. She told me to watch for signs of preeclampsia (sp?) like spots in my vision, a terrible headache, sharp side pain in my liver area and decreased movement in the baby. Hopefully, the bp is back to normal next week or somethings have to happen. Bed rest or birth. Birth as a last resort of course, but she said if we have to him now.. then that's what we'll do. Whatever keeps Cash safe is fine by me. So... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes back to normal, otherwise.. I'll be hanging out at home for the next 2 months. Oh joy. Where it would be nice not have to have drive to North Austin everyday for work... I really don't see the fun in sitting at home alone all day.

A Gift From Charo

My friend at work, Charo, loves to croshet. She is always making something.. scraves, hats, booties, blankets.. tons of things. I asked her if I bought the yarn, would she make something for Cash.. she said that she would love to. So I went to Hobby Lobby and bought this olive green, and brown yarn. It's not something that matches the bedding or anything, Diego and I just really like earth tones. Everything turned out so cute, I just love it all. I don't know if he will ever really wear the booties, but they will be cute in pictures or on a shelf. The blanket will most definitely be used all the time. I love it so much!

Week 30.. a little late

Sooo.. I meant to post this last Friday. I upload the pictures and type up the blogs at work and email it to myself, well.. I forgot to attach the picture! So.. I will post the picture soon. But for now.. here is what I had to say last week:

30 weeks. 214 days pregnant. 66 to go!

Sixty Six days.. wow.. even though it seems a while away, it's going to go by really fast! Especially since it will most likely be less than that. The thought of labor is really starting to make me nervous. I know I can do it, but the anticipation of it is killing me. I don't want to be in pain! Not much else going on, just puffy face, legs and feet.

The other night, I had a dream that I went to the doctor and she told me I was dilated 23 cm!!! Good lord, I think Cash could crawl out on his hands and knees at 23 cms!

Last week, I went to the doctor and there wasn't much to report. If you remember when I was 24 weeks, Cash was measuring 27 1/2, well at 29 weeks he was measuring 29 weeks... so that's good news. That's about all that came from that appointment. I go again next week! Going to the doctor every two weeks at this point seems silly. Nothing happens at the appointments! I know soon she will be checking for other things, and I will have one more look at Cash before he is born. I don't know when that ultrasound will be, but I can't wait!

Week 29

Wow. Week 29 Already! What happened to weeks 27 and 28? They flew by! I've been working my butt off lately. Six day weeks for the last month, and I'm getting really tired of it. Soon though, I will have all my maternity leave accrued and I will be able to take a break. By break, I mean 2 day weekends! That should happen mid February. I've been trying not to complain about it, because I know it will all be worth it once the baby is here.. and I get 3 months off! Ahh.. 3 months off sounds so great right now!

Anyway, back to week 29. My body is changing a lot. So many 'tmi' type things going on that I don't even want to get into! Cash likes to push on my bladder, and it's not a pleasant feeling! My legs and feet are still swelling. Every time I wear socks I get serious indentions, that take a while to go away. My belly itches like crazy!! I try not to scratch because I hear that causes stretch marks. Instead, I just rub it and pat it.. and try not to use my nails like I want to! Man, I could go to town and scratch forever.. because it really itches that bad. As far as stretch marks go, so far so good in that department.. let's hope it stays that way!

I've finally reached the 3rd trimester, and I'm seriously counting down the days. 75 days as of today! I'm thinking it will be less though. I have another appointment with my doctor tomorrow, so we'll see how things are going. I did get the results on my glucose test... normal! Thank god for that. My iron was low though, so I have to add another vitamin to the crap load I already take! All for good reason though. That's all for now.
