Future Mrs. John Jones

I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to one of my favorite people in the whole world!!
My cousin Jennifer got engaged last night!
I am so happy for her, we have tons of stuff to do!
She asked me to be her Maid of Honor!!

Dallas

I had a very awesome weekend! Friday afternoon.. my cousin Brad, Jennifer and I headed up to Dallas to visit my other cousin, Michael. Michael is in school up in Dallas.. and has been there for a few years and I have yet to visit.. so I was glad that I was able to go. We got there about 8ish.. and we went to go eat at Cheddars.. and hung out the rest of the night. The next morning, we woke up and headed to the Dallas Aquarium, it only took about an hour to walk through.. but it was really cool.. I took way more pictures that I thought I would.. but, I just wanted Diego to see everything I was seeing:

I loved the Manatees! The scuba diver came in and fed them right as we walked by, they were fed heads of romaine lettuce:

After the Aquarium, we had lunch at Pei Wei and then went to go see Pineapple Express.. Which I really liked. Later, we went to the grocery store and bought some food to cook for dinner and watched lots of Olympic coverage. We headed back home Sunday after grabbing hamburgers.. It was very good to get out of town for a minute.. and just hang with the cousins.

Trees

When I was a kid we planted an Arizona Ash in our backyard.. it grew very quickly. So, when Diego's Grandpa gave us a baby Arizona Ash, I expected the same from it.. and I was correct! This thing has more than tripled it size in the last 2 years. Check it out:

Note: at some point we moved it away from the fence..

In other back yard news..
Our banana trees are making bananas! My mom & aunt have beautiful banana trees.. and they have already made some bananas.. I thought ours wouldn't because they get so wind blown in our backyard.. they definitely don't look as good as theirs.. but we do have bananas!
