Washer Tournament

Our friend's, Tamara & Herd, hosted a Pitchin' Washers Tournament at their house. They have one the biggest, shadiest backyards I have ever been in.. it's the perfect place to host a party of any kind. We got our washer set through a friend of Tamara's, so we've been practicing.. I don't think it really mattered how much practicing I did.. I'm still not very good. There were going to be 16 teams, all the teams were drawn randomly.. luckily, I got matched up with a girl who was on my level. I was hoping I didn't get put with a pro, that would be irritated with me by the end of the night. My partner and I actually did pretty good, we eliminated one team and then lost in the 3rd round. Diego's team didn't well, I think they lost in the semi finals. All in all, it was a good night of hanging out with friends and pitchin' washers!

Someone Must Have Wished Me Luck!

Because I came in 2nd in the NCAA Bracket Tournament.. thing, I don't know what you call it. First place went to my Aunt Clonda's friend Christy, who is also one of our poker buddies! So Congrats on 1st place Christy. I think she won $175, and I won $75. Those brackets are so hard to predict.. I think that's what actually gave me a chance. You don't have to know much about each team to win! So I give myself a little pat on the back! :D

not much has been going on with us.. so, that's the reason for some many TV related entries.


On another note: Our front flower bed is not finished yet.. but we have added a couple of things. I'll post a pic later.


ALSO: Today starts one of my favorite times of year. The NCAA basketball tournament. I plan to sit at home and watch basketball all day for the next 2 days.. and as much as I can after that. Wish me and Diego luck on our brackets! Hopefully we win big!!

Round Rock Express Game

Diego's work invited the whole company to come out to a Round Rock Express game. They rented out the pool section so, it was all ours! Expect is really cold that evening so we didn't get in.. I did stick my legs in the hot tub which was nice. They also provided free burgers and hot dogs.. and free beer! I'm a little bit picky with my food, so I wasn't to impressed with the burgers but they were free so I can't complain all that much. We also got Chubbs & Joey in, saying that they were my cousins in town from New Orleans (the Express were playing the NO Zyphers) Sadly, I forgot the camera.. and the Express lost, but oh well it was a good FREE night of entertainment! Oh and I almost forgot, it was cap night.. we got free RR express ball caps!

March Madness Update

No good news here. Looks like I won't be winning jack this year. besides the fact that my teams are doing extremely sucky.. we tried out a new way of scoring,which we now realize once a leader pulls a out in front of everyone.. there's a slim chance of catching back up. So, my bracket is trash as far as I'm concerned.
BOO!!

Oh well.. Now I'm just pulling for the Horns!!

March Madness

This is one of my favorite times of the year!! It's March Madness!!
For the past 7 or 8 years.. I've been playing in the NCAA Men's Basketball bracket challenge thing.. I don't know what you wanna call it. It started with my Aunt and her friends and over the years the number of players has grown. I like it because it's so competative! Everyone puts in $10 and we end up with a 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winner!

I'm always nervous about making my picks because it's so unpredictable!! I always wanna do really good. I've never come in 1st place, but I have come in 2nd a few times. Actually, last year I came in 2nd.

I just finalized my picks and I hope I win money again this year!
