Thanksgiving

Cash celebrated Thanksgiving with all of his closest peeps! We started out the day with my family.. then headed to Diego's family.. and closed out the night with our friends, Brandy & Chris. It was a day packed with family and fun. Cash was fading when we left his Mimi's house, and crashed out shortly after we arrived at Brandy's. He always sleeps well over there, so we got to have some quiet friend time! It was a great first Thanksgiving for the little guy.

Meeting Mr. Claus

I know the line for Santa can get crazy long, so I wanted to get it done before Thanksgiving. So, the day before Thanksgiving.. we took Cash over to meet Old Saint Nick. When we arrived, Santa was on his lunch break.. luckily, he was due back soon.. so we decided to wait for him. We were the first ones in line! We got up there, snapped a couple of pictures.. paid and we were done. Not much to it! But, we got this precious little picture to keep forever!

Party Time

Jackson's 4th birthday party was last weekend, and Cash was excited! Ok, well.. Cash really had no idea what was in store for him.. but, I was really excited!! I knew we'd be taking a ride on a train.. and I had a good feeling that Cash would really into it. I was right. Sophie was perfect for Cash's first train ride. Though the wind made it a chilly day, we all still had a lot of fun!

26 Years

You've been gone too long. I know you can see him, but I wish he could see you. I wish I could see you. I'll settle knowing you're watching over us from your helicopter in the sky.

Then it's off to the big apple!

I know we will be exhausted when we get back,

but we are very excited and can't wait for April to get here!

We have a lot of fun stuff happening between now and then,

so hopefully the wait goes by fast!

Turkey Board

All the departments of my work like to decorate for the holidays.. my department, however, is lame! No one gets into decorating.. and I just don't have the want to, to do it on my own. Last night, I got the idea that I wanted to change out our little bulletin board. Halloween's bulletin was subpar, so I decided to take over for thanksgiving. I brought a simple clip art to life. Pretty good, huh?

The materials I had to work with, were pretty ghetto. I needed a full sheet of brown paper.. but all we had were these squares. I ended up having to tape them together to make my head and body! Same went for the red..

Never the less, I worked it out.

Spider Webs

This morning I walked out back, and noticed a giant spider web.. I looked around and noticed several spider webs that were not there yesterday. We had some busy little spiders at our house last night. I hopefully you can see them in the pictures.

A New Tree

Diego was given a tree from our friend, Joey.. it's a messy tree. One that I really didn't want, at first. It's a Cotton Wood, I believe. I don't like this kind of tree because it has huge leaves, that you have rack and keep up with. The bark also chips off, which makes a mess. Anyway, we had this tree in a giant pot for several months, I guess after having the tree so long.. I got over it. Plus, Diego said he would keep with the leaves and whatever mess it makes.. and I plan on holding him to that ;)

So, Sunday Diego planted the tree. We were going to plant it, in the spot that it had been sitting.. but, ended up deciding that that spot was all wrong for it. It would eventually end up blocking our view. We found a different spot for it along the fence, a much better choice.

Somebody decided to join us..

8 Months

Cash turned 8 months old yesterday! He's hit some pretty big milestones over the past couple of weeks.

• Teeth: check! yup, that boy has two pearly whites on the bottom. Which means he's now the proud owner of a toothbrush!
• Crawling: check! after a week or so of being on all fours, rocking back and forth.. he finally started crawling! He's been crawling really well for about a 2 weeks now. He loves chasing Mia & Marley around.. they are not thrilled about this.
• Pulling up: check! Seems like as soon as he started crawling.. he started pulling up. He mostly pulls up on our ottoman, but has recently been pulling on everything. I mean everything. Which means, you can't leave anything on the tables anymore!
• Words: check! I consider his first word to be Dada. He has also said Daddy. However, when saying these words.. his Dada was no were in sight. Over the past few days, he really started to say Mama and Mom. When he says this, he looking right at me.. or crawling towards me. Usually it's a string of moms. Momom Mama.. Momom. Love it!

We set out to take pictures next to this giant Cash mural.. unfortunately, the lighting was terrible, the buildings are just too close downtown... and this truck and these cables were in our way! Oh well, we tried.

Since we still had money on our meter, we just sat downtown in the shade.
