This blog started out as my 101 things to do in 1001 days, but has turned into a general blog. I will be detailing the happenings in the Ybarra Household.. Marking things off my list and jabbering about other junk that comes to mind!

Even Bad Days Turn Out Alright
The morning started with a husband, waking up his wife with a call saying, "I just got into an accident." No wife wants to wake up to news like this. But, when you do.. you just roll with it. This is what I did. Luckily, he wasn't too far away. I got the boy up and we set out to get dad. Turns out, he rear ended a utility truck and as he was driving back home, his hood flew up and shattered his wind shield. Wow. I know. So, we bummed around the house for most of the day.. until I decided to hell with this! Let's stop moping around and go do something fun. Our favorite place is the greenbelt, and with all the recent rain.. it was flowing nicely. Just what the husband needed. With some pushiness on my part, I got him out of the house.

Friday Fun Day
Since Cash has really been getting into watching movies lately, I wanted to take him to the theatre. I wasn't really sure how he would do, since he's not into sitting still for long periods. I had a coupon for $5 off the price of a Lorax movie ticket, and we went to the early bird so it was really cheap. I thought what the heck, it's worth a shot. If he freaks out, we'll just leave. He did great. Once he was done with the popcorn, he was ready to start walking around.. luckily, the movie was already almost finished. I was really happy with his behavior! So we went across the street to Wazoo's or as he calls it.. "the jumpy slide". My friend, Brandy and her daughter met us over there.. and the kids jumped for a while. Fun Day!
Most super fun days end like this :)

Dinosaur Bash
Cash's 'Prehistoric' Bash turned out to be quite the little success. No major hook ups or went wrongs. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and Cash was so happy to have both of his families at his house.
Cash did not like everyone singing to him.

Two Balloons
What a difference a year makes!
It's hard to believe that the talkative little boy that I know now,
was just a baby not so long ago.

Yarn Balls
This is one of the more messy projects we've done. Thankfully, I attempted this project when Diego was home.. otherwise, I probably would have given up. They turned out pretty good. I just wish I could have found round balloons instead of the regular egg shaped ones.
You are supposed to hang them balloons from a wood pole, but we just used the shower curtain rod. On this particular ballon, I forgot to apply the vaseline to the balloon before the yarn, so this one had a lot more goop stuck to it.
Finally dry
All hung up. I think I need a couple more..
but, I'm not sure when I'll be up for this project again.

March 8th
My boy turned two!
After visiting Dr. Collins for his 24 month check up, we spent the day outside in the backyard. After we got cleaned up, we headed to Gattitown for dinner with Granny, Aunt Clonda, Uncle Pumpkin, Mimi & Uncle David! What an awesome turn out for a Thursday night dinner party! It was so much fun, Cash walked away with a lot of loot from the games and some fun presents as well!
