So Far... So Great!

2009 has not disappointed.. and we are only 6 days in!! Monday, Diego was offered a job at the Department of Vital Statistics.. with the state. That is where you go to get your birth certificates. I don't know exactly what he is going to be doing.. but he is starting out pretty high up.. Admin 4. I started with the state as an Admin 2.

So.. yesterday we celebrated! I called into work, and we had lunch at VIVO.. we were really there for the awesome margaritas! Then after much research, we went to Circuit City and purchased ourselves a brand new TV! 46 inch, HD, flat screen.. and we got a new stand. It's an empty feeling spending that much money.. but heck, we watch a lot of TV and sports so we will definitely be getting our moneys worth :D

Holding Our Breathes

We've known this was coming for about 6 months or so.. but yesterday Diego officially lost his job. The company that he has been working for, for the last 6 years was bought out by another company and is in the process of moving to Kansas City. It's a very uneasy feeling knowing that we don't have a for sure income. It's causing a bit of stress around our house, so.. we are just waiting.. hoping.. and praying.. that he finds a job as soon as possible. He is a great worker so any job would be lucky to have him!! I would prefer him to get a job with the state.. but at this point, anything will do.

That's the latest around our house... we're just waiting to exhale..
