First Corn Dog

Cash had his first corn dog last week. We were running errands and picked up some lunch. We stopped off in Onion Creek to eat our lunch next to the pond. Cash is getting better at taking bites, instead of shoving the whole thing in his mouth at once. We are still working on it though..

Evening at the Rodeo

We made a trip out to the rodeo one Saturday to check out the animals, and to just do something different for the evening.

We have one cool kid on our hands!

First Haircut!

From the get go, we figured we would probably get Cash's hair cut around his first birthday. I've trimmed his hair up before, but this time I wanted to him to get a real cut. We were going to take him to Cool Cuts for Kids, but ended up taking him to Snip-it. I'm cheap, so when I found out that the cut was $17.99... I thought that was a lot. He doesn't have that much hair to cut! Maybe that's the normal going rate, but was expecting it to be about $8-$10. Anyway, he looks super cute now! But, I did have to go back and cut a little more. He wasn't super cooperative in the chair.

Operation Sugar Rush

I've been keeping up with all these party blogs and the one thing that seems to always stand out to me is the candy & cake table. Now I know Cash is only one, and doesn't eat candy yet but that doesn't mean his party guests don't! I did it mostly for those guys and a little bit for myself too ;)

The candy table consisted: Whoppers, Sour Patch Kids, Twizzlers, Dum Dums, M&M's, Dubble Bubble, Rice Krispie treats, giant lollipops, $ cookies, and chocolate covered marshmallows.

I love how Jackson uses two hands!
At the store, these were considered the small lollipops!

The marshmallows turned out really well, I used the chocolate that you cover strawberries with and put some sprinkles on top and stuck them in the fridge for a little while. Super easy and the kids seemed to love them!
